I AM LOOKING FOR A GRAVE IN MY LOCAL CEMERTARY! HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHERE IT IS?

-im looking for a grave of a lady i nursed a few years ago. i know she was born in 1898, and found out she died a few years ago i. was told the cemertey she was in but cemetery is very large. how can i find out which plot she is inYour question shows as UK based, so each cemetery has a plan which shows plot numbers, they are often run by the local council, so you call the council and ask for the plot number of this person, look at the plan ad you will find it.

http://familytimeline.webs.com/ if you look on the links page there are several links to cemeteries, as many FH societies have photographed and documented grave yards' Tombstones & Monumental Inscriptions' and 'Grave Stones Photographs' are two and many counties have their own websites where each cemetery has been documented, transcribed and photographed... Lincolnshire, Rutlandshire, leicestershire, Durham and Northamptonshire are particulary good...all ones I have used to search for ancestors...all of which is on the documents page of the same website in helpsheets with lots of other links for each county...it is being added to each day, but it says if you are looking for a particular place and they have the information but have not as yet uploaded it they will either upload it first or send you the information if you ask.
The sexton of the cemetery has a map of everyone buried there. You might look for a caretaker who will help. Most cemeteries are administered by a board of directors or a committee of some sort. Your city hall, alderman or city administrators can help.
Try findagrave.com and see if it's listed there. Most cemeteries have lists of names posted and you can look through and it should tell you. Also, where i live, the city office has all records so maybe you could call around and see if you can find out where they are located in your area. Good Luck!
ask the person who looks after the cemetery it is not free so there will be someone who collects the money if it is attached to a church ask the vicar/priest if that doesn't work i would go to the town hall and see if there is a record in the deaths section
If you know who you are looking for just go to the local cemetary and go into the office. They have records and tell you where the grave site is ( give directions).
Check with the cemetery office they are required to keep records of each burial.
Every cemetery keeps a record of burials. Ask your local undertakers or city council.
There will be an office on site somewhere. Ask them to look up their records. UK
