My GGGGGgrandfather is joseph hill and is a possible brother of atkinson hill. I found this copy of a document in my great aunt's attic. In the corner does it say Goodin's Fort? And that says cedar on the top is this atkinson Hill's land and would this prove a connectionodd, my thought too!nothing odd about it... it is a sketch of land plat (probably filed in a deed book). It proves Goodins fort was close to Atkinson Hill's land. It proves great aunt was working the lineage, and may have been to the actual court house.
I already told you about Samuel Goodin, being father in law to Atkinson Hill. Does not prove Joseph's relationship. You MIGHT find deed records that connect Joseph and Atkinson Hill, however full deeds are almost never online.
Samuel Goodwin's Fort (a) (1780), near Boston, south of the Beech Fork River at the junction of KY 52 and Stillwell-Patton Road. Also spelled Goodin.
if you want exact location...
The picture would open. But the information on it is worth researching. This could be the clue that could lead you to the documents that would verify a connection to Atkinson Hill.
